But how do you choose which program is right for you? There are hundreds of potential options for health programs, nutrition programs, parasite control and more.
Per4mance Verified™ eliminates the guesswork by combining nutrition, health, age and source verification, and marketing solutions from industry leaders.
Per4mance Verified™ participants can reap added value through their regular sale methods, or take advantage of our marketing channels that recognize and reward producers for their Per4mance Verified™ cattle.
Per4mance Verified™ Program
Per4mance Verified™ is a cooperative effort between leading nutritional, animal health and data service companies to provide producers with one simple solution to a wide variety of nutritional, health and marketing challenges. This includes a simple solution to get your calves Age and Source Verified through CattleLOG™ Animal Information Systems which is a USDA PVP (Process Verified) program.
Participating in the program is simple. Producers select either the "Weaned" or "Pre-Wean" calf protocol to follow. With either program, your Per4mance Verified™ representative will be available to sign affidavits and answer all of your questions.
The nutrition and health aspects of these programs mean stronger, healthier calves that have a better chance to demand maximum price and meet their full performance potential.
Weaned Protocol:
- Calves weaned for 45 days prior to shipping
- Calves receive the following vaccinations:
- 7 or 8-way clostridial (with booster)
- 4 or 5-way respiratory viral vaccine (with booster)
- Mannheimia haemolytica (Pasturella)
- Haemophilus somnus (optional)
- Last round of vaccinations administered at least 14 days prior to shipping
- Internal/External parasite control
- Tag cattle with approved EID tag
- Record information in CattleLog™
- Complete Per4mance Verified™ affidavits
- Castrate and dehorn
- Feed 30 lbs of Cellarat-ORE CPR® (from Loomix®) or 90 grams of Cell-Rate™ during 45-day weaning period
- The total diet during the 45-day weaning period should include the following levels of trace minerals, of which a minimum of 30% should be from an organic (chelated) source. These minerals are available in most Loomix® Liquid Feed Supplements:
- Zinc..........360 mg/hd/day
- Mn...........150 mg/hd/day
- Cu......... . 150 mg/hd/day
Pre-Wean Protocol:
- Calves 90 days of age prior to shipment
- Calves receive the following vaccinations:
- 7 or 8-way clostridial/blackleg
- 4 or 5-way respiratory viral vaccine
- Mannheimia heamolytica (Pasturella)
- Haemophilus somnus (optional)
- Vaccinations to be administered between 2 and 6 weeks prior to shipment
- Internal/External parasite control (optional)
- Tag cattle with approved EID tag
- Record information in CattleLog™
- Complete Per4mance Verified™ affidavits
- Castrate and dehorn
- Feed 30 lbs of Cellarat-ORE CPR® (from Loomix®) or 90 grams of Cell-Rate during last 45 days prior to shipment

Enrollment Process

- Complete the Per4mance Verified™ Enrollment form to provide:
- Name
- Location
- Agreement to follow the Per4mance Verified™ protocol
- Fax (970-587-2402), mail or e-mail (mramsey@loomix.com) completed enrollment form to Loomix®
- Loomix® forwards information to Micro Beef Technologies
- You will be contacted by a Micro Beef representative who will provide EID enrollment and support
- After EID enrollment, select and follow one of the set protocols (weaned or pre-wean)
- Fill out your audit request form and send to Micro Beef Technologies to set up your on-site or phone audit (This process will complete age and source verification).
- At this point, you have the option of putting your calves on the Micro Beef Listing Service www.cattlelog.com to increase your marketing options
- Listing Service will identify that you have followed the Per4mance Verified™ guidelines.
Additional Benefits
Per4mance Verified™ cattle can be listed on the Micro Beef Listing Service: a state-of-the-art website that brings cattle producers and buyers together.
It's no secret that specialty beef programs (such as "all natural") are constantly challenged to find enough cattle to meet their needs.
CattleLog™ Animal Information Systems, provided by Micro Beef Technologies, can put your livestock directly in the hands of these buyers, adding a whole new dimension to your sales and marketing programs.
Do you normally sell your cattle through a livestock market? Your local market can be listed as the sales contact on the Micro Beef Listing Service, and the buyers can work directly with them.
