What does it cost to participate in the program? Each company maintains their own pricing structure through their respective distribution channels, but approximate prices are as follows: * Loomix ® / Zinpro: $6.00—$6.50/head * CattleLog™ : $4.00/head * SelectVAC or other vaccination program: varies by location
What kind of return can I expect for participating in Per4mance Verified™? Returns in the form of sales premiums have historically ranged from $5—$12/cwt. The weight gain during a 45 day weaning period is generally a very efficient gain and can add to profitability for the cattle producer.
How do I get information on the Loomix® products that are required for this program? Your local feed distributor can provide information regarding feed products. You can also check the website at www.loomix.com or contact the company directly at (970) 587-4626.
Are Per4mance Verified ™ program participants required to use EID tags? Yes, an ISO-compliant, tamperproof EID is required to participate.
How are cattle verified through the program? Cattle must be verified for age, source, nutrition and health through CattleLog™ Verification Services. Qualified cattle may be listed on the Micro Beef Listing Service, an online bulletin board of cattle that have successfully completed on-site verification for any number of attributes Visit the listing service at http://www.cattlelog.com.
Does CattleLog™ help broker the transaction between the buyers and the sellers? No, CattleLog™ and Micro Beef are not involved in buying or selling cattle in any capacity.
How long does the CattleLog™ verification process take? The length of the process depends on several factors, but we recommend requesting services at least ten days prior to shipping cattle.
Can I verify data on cattle that have already shipped? No. Observation of cattle during the on-site audit is required. Therefore, if the cattle have been shipped from the farm/ranch of origin, they are no longer eligible for CattleLog™ Verification Services.
